San Francisco

You don’t need to wear flowers in your hair anymore but be assured there’s still a great welcome in San Francisco. Although it measures less than 50 square miles, it regularly ranks as one of the greatest cities in the world, and with good reason.

Hop aboard one of the cities iconic cable cars to Chinatown or the downtown area of Union Square for shopping and people watching in the main city parks and gardens, or take a boat across the Alcatraz and imagine what life was like for inmates incarcerated here in the mid twentieth century.

The Bay is really the place to be because there’s so much to see and do on the foreshore– from a cruise to Golden Gate Bridge on one of the Gold Fleet Ferries, to walks and bike rides along the main promenades and fine dining at one of the Pier restaurants (we recommend Neptune’s Palace on Pier 39 or Greens on Marina Boulevard).

We recommend either the Sheraton or Radisson Hotel Fisherman’s Wharf as a great place to stay during your visit.
