Los Angeles

The word sprawl takes on a new meaning when you fly over Los Angeles, since the city boundaries alone cover 467 square miles and seem to spread out endlessly.

Take a trip out to the beach areas of Venice and Santa Monica with their palm tree-lined esplanades that are always busy with walkers, cyclists and rollerbladers, and enjoy an afternoon people watching and strolling by the water.

You can’t visit LA without a trip to Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue which is home to a variety of attractions including Universal Studios, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Palladium and the Kodak Theatre, where the new Cirque du Soleil show is staged, and a few hours in Downtown LA with its wide range of restaurants, shops and festival locations is recommended too.

These areas are all well served by LA’s hop on-hop off bus operators and the city’s metro system, so it’s easy to get around and make the most of your time here.

The Beverley Garden Hotel, or the Beverley Hilton are our recommended hotels for your stay in LA
