Located centrally in a private and secluded street, each of Bendemere House’s 5 bedrooms are detached from the main house offering privacy, comfort and superb views of the Pacific Ocean and the Kaikoura mountain range.

Owners Kerry and Julie Howden have created a beautiful home from home, that’s just a few minutes’ walk from Kaikoura town centre, and nearby to the areas many attractions including whale watching or taking a walk along the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway.

All recently built rooms feature full en-suite, tea and coffee facilities, air-conditioning, quality Sleepyhead beds, home-baked shortbread and, of course, your own balcony where you can take in the breath taking views and enjoy the peace and tranquillity the property offers. The Hampden Room on the ground floor has full wheelchair access.

• Brushing up on your photography skills and taking some shots from the viewing platform in the garden – if you’re lucky you might be able to capture the dolphins out in the bay.
• Enjoying chatting to other guests over a delicious continental breakfast and swopping stories.
• Relaxing in the Rose garden with a cuppa or a glass of wine!
