Just five minutes’ walk from the local village centre, Stewart Island Lodge is private and secluded with stunning views of Halfmoon Bay and the surrounding ocean. With extensive gardens and a terrace offering sweeping views of the gardens and ocean beyond, it’s a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the native birdlife that is abundant in the area.
Each of the lodge’s well-appointed rooms has an en-suite and opens directly onto an expansive shared balcony where you can make the most of the wonderful scenery and wildlife that surrounds the lodge.
After a restful night’s sleep enjoy one of owners Lisa fabulous cooked breakfasts before exploring further afield and maybe taking a guided village and bay tour to learn more about Island life and history.
What our travellers love about staying here…
- During cooler weather, relaxing in the communal guest lounge and admiring the beautiful vistas over the bay.
- Chatting to Lisa and her husband Chis about how to make the most of your time on Stewart Island and where the best place for Kiwi spotting is!!
- Enjoying visits from local wildlife!
