The Boot
We love finding unique and slightly quirky places for our travellers to stay, and we challenge you to finds anywhere with more character than this place we discovered just outside Nelson.
We all know the story of the old Woman who lived in a shoe? Well, you can enjoy a night or two sleeping in a boot! Much more luxurious and comfortable than it sounds, this one bedroomed ‘cottage’ is beautifully furnished with a cosy wood burning fire for winter evenings, and a Juliet balcony so you can climb the spiral staircase on your way up to bed and take in the views.
Cosy and quirky and full of charm, it’s owned by couple Judy and Steve who also own The Jester House, an award winning café next door. They’ll bring over breakfast of your choice from the café in the mornings, though the cottage has full kitchen facilities too so you can enjoy an evenings al fresco dining in the private courtyard under the stars if you choose.
What our travellers love about staying here…
- The unique accommodation! Well, sleeping in a Boot isn’t something you do every day!!
- The quiet privacy of the cottage – it’s such a romantic retreat!
- The amazing food on your doorstep at The Jester House next door
