Edenhouse Luxury Lodge

Nestled in a serene valley in the heart of rural Nelson, Edenhouse is situated within 48-acres of private grounds and beautiful gardens and is perfectly positioned between Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, at the top of the South Island.

Hosts Peter and Bobbie Martin, designed Edenhouse, drawing on Bobbie’s skills honed at the Inchbald School of Design and The English Gardening School in London.

Guests have a choice of staying in two luxurious suites in the main lodge or the beautifully appointed 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom garden cottage.  Meals are created from local produce, and matched with award winning local wines.

Peter and Bobbie have an infectious, genuine enthusiasm for the region and enjoy extending their love and knowledge to their guests.

Edenhouse is a place where even the busiest guests will soon reacquaint themselves with the simple pleasures and relaxed lifestyle of South Island living.

What our travellers love about staying here…

  • The food! Edenhouse serves the most wonderful evening meals, matched with some fantastic New Zealand wines.
  • The beautiful grounds. Fruit trees, flower picking gardens, native shrubs and  duck ponds make it lovely for a walk around before dinner.
  • Peter and Bobby’s hospitality – they are truly wonderful hosts.
