Rydges Christchurch Latimer Square
Rydges Christchurch Latimer Square was newly built in 2013 after the original property suffered considerable earthquake damage.
The new building is located just across from the Cardboard Cathedral, built as the transitional cathedral whilst the original Cathedral was being made safe, and overlooks the peaceful Latimer Square park.
The comfortable rooms offer a reassuringly contemporary design, with large beds, squeaky clean bathrooms, and even suites available for families.
What our travellers love about staying here…
- The short stroll through parkland and along bustling Worcester street to reach the charming Tramway restaurant.
- Its tranquil location feels a world outside the city, yet it’s still less than 15 minutes’ walk to the original Cathedral Square, and other city highlights such as Christchurch’s botanic gardens and art gallery.
- For those arriving late or leaving early by train or plane, there is a fantastic restaurant on-site, with breakfast available from 6am on weekdays and 7am at the weekend.
