Puritawa Estate

Puritawa Estate Bed & Breakfast is nestled amongst trees in 21 acres of beautiful countryside in New Plymouth.

The name is a combination of two tree species Puriri and Tawa which are the largest and most prominent trees on the property together with many other species that  provide an abundance of food for a host of native and migrating birds.

The charming and romantic rooms are beautifully decorated with native timber panelling and traditionally designed furniture, reminiscent of the Victorian era and illustrative of the love and care that the hosts have put into renovating the property.

The property also features fully self-contained accommodation in the original farm cottage.

What our travellers love about staying here…

  • Relaxing and taking in the coastal views from the private balcony or verandah
  • Enjoying a game on the full sized snooker table in the games room
  • Exploring the estate and discovering the wildlife that resides in the unspoilt bush
