Chalet Queenstown

Chalet Queenstown is a small boutique hotel just five minutes from Queenstown. The lodge first opened in the 1960’s. Named Chalet Edelweiss and run by a Swiss couple, it was one of the first holiday accommodations in the town to offer en-suite rooms for guests.  In the 1990’s it was completely renovated and renamed Chalet Queenstown,  and now offers modern, contemporary lodgings with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The 7 well-appointed guest rooms have a balcony with either lake or mountain views and triple sheeted beds with feather duvets for maximum comfort. There’s a guest lounge and garden patio to relax in and put your feet up after the day’s activities and there’s even a laundry service if you need it

Brother and sister team Alex and Jude love recommending things to see and places to visit while you’re staying in the area, and Alex’s breakfasts are long talked about after guests have moved on with their travels!

What our travellers love about staying here…

  • Alex’s breakfast deserves a second mention – they are legendary!
  • The fabulous views of Lake Wakitipu, the Remarkables and Queenstown Hill
  • The close proximity to central Queenstown and local walking tracks
