Crabapple Cottage is a charming, cosy place to stay on the Otago Peninsula, close to the Albatross Colony, Lanarch Castle, and some stunning coastal scenery. The cottage was built in the 1870s when Europeans migrated to work on the construction of railways in the region, and has been sensitively restored, with new timber and brickwork seamlessly blending with the original features.
The cottage is a self-contained apartment, with microwave, toaster, tea and coffee-making facilities. A breakfast basket can be arranged, which includes homemade jam and muesli and fresh free range eggs courtesy of the hens in the garden.
Hosted by Kay and Ed King , who encourage you to enjoy their lovely garden display of forget-me-nots, wallflowers, and of course a crabapple tree!
