Days 6 – 10: Bermuda

At just twenty one miles long and two miles wide, the Bermuda Islands, with their spectacular pink sand beaches, palm trees, pastel-coloured villages and azure waters are a world away from the frenetic action of New York City.
We take time to unwind and adjust to the islands relaxed pace (the national speed limit is 20 mph) with a series of easy walks which highlight its heritage as Britain’s oldest colony and reputation for outstanding coastal scenery and warm hospitality.

Our link to Bermuda’s main attractions is a traffic-free trail (converted from the island’s original railway line in the 1980’s) that brings us to the beautiful horseshoe bays of the South Shore; to Hamilton, the capital, where you’ll no doubt see businessmen in their smart suits and Bermuda shorts and to the harbour of St George, where the English naval adventurer, Sir George Somers, first landed in 1609.and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Throughout the holiday, there will be a particular focus on the island’s wonderful flowers and bird-life and, of course, a daily delight will be the opportunity to swim, snorkel or take a boat trip in Bermuda’s warm Atlantic waters, home to a stunning variety of coral reef and colourful fish.
A holiday experience which will certainly support the Island’s claim, expressed in the title of the national song, ‘Bermuda is Another World’.

Day 10: Return flight to the UK.
